Sense of touch

Steiner’s twelve senses can be grouped into three categories. He distinguished senses which relate to the perception of:
• your body: the senses of touch, of life, of movement, of balance
• the external world: smell, taste, sight, temperature
• the immaterial, spiritual world: hearing, speech, thought, ego

Will, feeling, thought
• The first four senses, the lowest, are called physical senses, or senses of the will because they are used to perceive one’s own body.
• The middle four senses are the senses of feeling. Observations made with these senses arouse feelings. These senses are also reflected in our language: a tastefully furnished house, a sourpuss, hard to swallow, heart-warming, cold thought.
• The last four senses, the highest, focus particularly on the other. These are the spiritual or knowledge senses and they are used in the observation of other people.

 Sense of touch
Your sense of touch, or tactile sense, is made up of a very fine network of
receptors in your skin, forming your body’s largest sensory system. Because
there are so many sensory nerves, you can feel the lightest touch. The skin is
your body’s shield, and touch makes you aware of your boundaries. Your
sense of touch only gives you the experience of being touched by a ‘thing’.
In order to know what is touching you, the observation needs to be
expanded with your other senses: by looking at what’s touching you, feeling
its structure or its temperature.
The sense of touch is formed by a large number of tactile organs situated just under the surface of the skin between the epidermis and the dermis (figure 1). The tactile organs are simple receptors connected by nerve axons. The receptors sense pressure on the skin and that is how you can feel touch.
There are tactile organs all over the body. The distance between the receptors determines sensitivity, which differs for different parts of your body. Fingers, tongue, lips, nose, and forehead are very sensitive to touch, meaning that these parts have a higher density of tactile organs. Not surprisingly, perhaps, these are all important parts of the body for feeling or touching. Other areas, such as the back or the soles of the feet, have a lower density of tactile receptors and are less sensitive to touch. Observing with twelve senses
It is necessary to use your other senses, such as movement or sense of temperature if you want to know more than simply the fact that something touched you. You can use your sense of movement to explore the object with your hands, to find out its shape, its external structure, and so on. Yet it is still difficult to determine what it might be. Your sight will give you the most information. Your tactile sense delineates your body. It indicates where you end and something else begins.                                                                                    Without the sense of touch, you would not feel this boundary, and you would not know where you stop being. You would literally be boundless and flow into the other. Without a sense of touch, you would have no physical self-awareness.

This is an exercise for two people to discover the density of tactile organs on different parts of your body. Take two pins and hold them at a fixed distance from each other. Then press them softly onto a part of the subject’s body (e.g. underarm, hand, finger, fingertip, back, shin). Does the subject feel one or two pricks? Reduce the distance between the pins until two pin-pricks are felt like
one. Repeat this on other parts of the body, such as a fingertip, palm, back of the hand, or leg. Close your eyes and ask someone to give you an object at room temperature. When you first receive it, do not move your hands, try to feel what it is only by using your sense of touch. Then start feeling
it with your hands, describe the object, and try to experience what it is.
One person is blindfolded. Someone she knows stands in front of her, and she must find out who it is by feeling the person’s face.
Ask someone to blindfold you and try to solve a wooden puzzle using only your sense of touch. This exercise demonstrates that touching results in a different perception of sight. Take two trees of different species and examine them visually. Then go to each tree and touch the trunk. Describe the
difference. You could also do this exercise with other objects instead of trees.

The Forest for the Trees – News

Archangel Michael

For centuries, the tradition of the “mystical chronology” of the world’s seven archangelic regents has been part of Western esoteric teaching. According to this tradition, 1879 marked the return of the solar spirit Michael–the archangel of the Sun–to oversee earthly evolution. Steiner always placed his life and work in the service of Michael’s evolutionary task. And he recognized that, at the beginning of the twentieth century, humanity emerged from the Kali Yuga–the Dark Age–and entered the Age of Light.

Against this background, Steiner described the ascent of Michael as cosmic ruler, his battle with the “dragon” of the spirits of darkness, and his roles as the countenance of Christ and the guardian of cosmic intelligence. He also gave many profound indications of how Michael’s evolutionary task depends on the free and independent collaboration of human coworkers. Speaking on behalf of Michael, Steiner laid out the essentials for a new Michaelic path to full humanity.

Among the elements of this path are the development of selfless individuality; cosmopolitanism; the practice of the presence of Christ; fearlessness; the transformation of thinking and perception in a new synthesis of science, art, and religion; the spiritualization of space; and the separation of thought from language.

Land Steward, Land Trust consider Me, Donate Your Land: Wyoming

My Name is Bridgette Lyn Dolgoff, I have a nonprofit.

I am looking for land 500 to 20,000 acres to steward for years to come. My Biodynamic farm project is a 50 years project. This project will build a full-scale in alignment with nature farm for rehabilitating combat veterans into farmers. This project has many aspects for more information please contact me about interest.

I am also desiring to have land so that I can perform large-scale land restoration for nature on the land alongside the farm, where wild animals that are restored may be released on it. Planting for use and growing to seed many of the vanishing herbal medicine plants.

The land will also be utilized for outgrows of seed, native seeds that are vanishing from our world as well. I am involved with specific groups who share these seeds for outgrows to put back into the native people’s hands and those who want to grow them.

If you are wanting to retire, If you want to give your land to the government or conservation projects, think about me, I would love to take the land and take care of it for the rest of my life, utilizing it only for the good and the betterment of the land, animals, and plants, for the education of humans.

If you want to retire and continue to live on the land would love to take care of you as well.

For more information please contact me @ or 775.624.7862

Hymn to Osiris

I have come home.

I have entered humanhood, bound to rocks and plants, men and women, rivers and sky.
I shall be with you in this and other worlds.
When the cat arches in the doorway, think of me. I have sometimes been like that.
When two men meet each other in the street, I am there speaking to you.
When you look up, know I am there—sun and moon—pouring my love around you.
All these things I am; portents, images, signs.
Though apart, I am part of you.
One of the million things in the universe, I am the universe, too.
You think I disguise myself as rivers and trees simply to confuse you?
Whatever I am, woman, cat, or lotus, the same god breathes in everybody.
You and I together are a single creation.
Neither death nor spite nor fear nor ignorance stops my love for you…

I go into the realm of the invisible.
The weight of my earthly body,
The surging forces of my earthly life,
Release their hold.
In the world into which I now enter
The watchful care of the Good Spirits,
The loving guidance of my ancestors,
The creative power of the Spirits of Creation,
Work upon my human soul.
My heart holds in it many thoughts of conflict,
But also the thought of Greatfulness.
May this grow in the world of sleep
Into full being –
That I receive through powers of Light
In strength and peace.

I come from the realm of the invisible,
And penetrate anew
The stream of my earthly life,
The house of my earthly body.
I thank the world of Spirit,
Which has held my soul.
I thank the world of earth
Which has guarded my body.
May the Light of Grandfather
In the light of day
Shine for my soul
Upon paths of earth.
May the holy aims of Creation
Which have warmed my soul in sleep
Be remembered through the aid of the Creator
In waking Deeds.

One mine the Indians worked had gold so good they left it there for God to keep.

At night sometimes you think your way that far, that deep, or almost.

You hold all things or not depending not on greed but whether they suit what life begins to mean.

Like those workers, you study what moves, what stays.

You bow, and then, like them, you know…

What’s God, what’s world, what’s gold.

In Language as Sacred Tools [Excerpt]

“It is funny when I write a small text on wisdom in our Norse tongue it the wyrd/wisodm-wagon called vishet .. ..the interesting connections to this word and our forefathers and foremothers sacred societies is that ‘-het’ is “carrior-wagon” that is glued to wyrd’s that like ‘vishet’ decribes the “quality+in-action” is “what are you called” is the prefered way to as “what is your name” in Norse tongues.. ..we have “what is you name” since we also are trained in the Roman cult of “conduct business in the worlds of the sewers/under-world/”the-dead-orating”.. ..but the classical and really Norse/>Germanic way is “what called (are) you?) as in “to call the soul and spirit and simultaneously this -he-/-het-/-hed-/-hel- suffixes and/or prefixes or in the middle of wyrd’s combination are among our most sacred (sacred=helig) as sacral (sanctified/sacral/sacred helgad) weekend (the sacred rest=helg) “holy sacred holiday”=högtid/helg) honour (honour=heder) law in honour of word as “heithen-dom” (hedendon ..witch in real says “-“domen/house/business” in the word of honour and eternal shame the one who breaks his word/promise/deal-he-agreed-to)..

..our sacred whoe means a sacred location ..most often on the actual heather/heath with earth-works, mounds, cairns, erected stone formations, petroglyphs and sacred gathering houses just like a “church parish house for the church coffey after the wedding or what-not..

..vis in our cultur follows” ones self decide/decision/call-to-judge/a-judicate” (egendom (egen+dom) where egen means self/onew-own (my own as in possesion) or straigh up just means “mine” is if carried over to english: egendom: (my)-own-to-judge/decide..

..the unique balance between society and family/self has clear ideas of a golden-ratio-balance wherein benefit of one (self/society) the other (self/society/family) must have the eternal moral/ethic/traditions/higher-mora-value-balance as the “cut” of the “stick” to reach the golden ratio is “62 % of all” ..if no less than 38 % of “the realm/existence” is marked up on either side there most likely is a “parasitic entangling component” foreign to culture/traditions and moral values building our societies for us and the parasite has started its infestation and will leave when you are dead and gone ..only for a new host/society to “wampire on”..pär, 2:53 AM..the beauty of words/wyrd’s (history/tradition/sacred carrier wagon of wise signs/vibrations) is quite stunning once one bore down to the right level.. share is almost like “soundscapes/shapes” as in “sharescapes/share shapes/honoursharing” in the greater good and our part of the eternal struggle between building/order and destruction/chaos.. ..nature/creation inherently/honour-wyrdly contains both.”

Blue Heaven Imagination

Suppose that we are able for one moment to forget all the external impressions, all memories, all cares, and troubles, and yield ourselves to the single impression of the blue heavens.

What I am now saying to you can be experienced by every human soul that fills the necessary conditions, this can be a common human experience.

Suppose a human soul gazes in this way, that at nothing but the blue of the sky. A certain moment then comes, when the blue of the sky ceases to be blue. When we no longer see blue or anything that could be called blue in human language.

Turning our attention to our own soul – when blue ceases to be blue to us an infinity enfolds for us, and for this infinity, we experience a quite different mood, a quite different feeling, a quite definite sensation pours into the emptiness where the blue has been before.

We could name this soul feeling or sensation – one-word ” devotion”. A devote feeling in our soul, a feeling of pious devotion toward infinity.

BRIDGETTE LYN DOLGOFF – ITEL – 12.12.20 on Inside the EYE

Bridgette Lyn Dolgoff, host of “Carrying Stones And Digging Holes To Cultivate Consciousness” joined Inside the Eye – Live! on 12.12.20.  I am not sure how she came up with such a long name but saying it seemed to take up 1/8 of the show.  Bridgette co-hosts the show with Kelsey Sweet.  It can be heard on at 8 pm every Saturday on Studio B.

All joking aside, Bridgette Lyn was asked about such a search engine friendly name (lots of keywords in that show name), as well as being asked quite a bit more.

For instance, Bridgette Lyn discussed her long-time efforts to be involved in Nevada politics and how, over time, she became an outsider who was somewhat of an insider.

Much of Bridgette Lyn’s efforts revolve around her practice of alternative medicine so a fair amount of time of the second half of the interview was spent on Lyn’s insights and experiences with alternative medicine practice from both practice and legal/regulatory perspectives.

You can hear the entire interview here:
